Sagola in the classroom: hands-on training in Burgos and SagolaSPRAY™ at PFITech

Sagola continues to support vocational training in the automotive sector with two new initiatives at schools and education fairs.

In the paint booth at IES Diego Marín Aguilera (Burgos)

At the end of September, Roberto Villa, Sagola's Technical Application Manager, was in the paint booth at IES Diego Marín Aguilera in Burgos with intermediate-level bodywork students and automotive teachers, for a hands-on painting session.

SagolaSPRAY™ at PFITech 2026

In May, Sagola took part in PFITech 2026, the fair organised by the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia for students on its Training and Integration Programmes, held in Barcelona. In the Sagola area, students got a close look at the brand's spray guns and tried the SagolaSPRAY™ simulator, which lets them practise application with a virtual-reality headset: no paint and no booth.

With initiatives like these, Sagola continues to bring its equipment and application know-how to those training to work in the body shop.

Sagola at the first Automechanika Jakarta, with Elcometer Asia

Sagola was present at the first edition of Automechanika Jakarta, held from 24 to 27 September in Tangerang (Indonesia). Organised by Messe Frankfurt and GIAMM, the show brought together 350 exhibitors in its first year.

The Sagola range was on show on the Elcometer (Asia) stand, carrying the image of both brands, with a large Sagola sign presiding over the space.

The refinishing range, on the counters

In the foreground were the Sagola 4600 HEX and 4600 DFT. Alongside them, other spray guns from the range, such as the 3600 XPT, the 3400 Compact and the 3300 GTO. The display was completed by the Sagola 4220 air filter and the MP300 mask. And on the wall, a 4600 poster in Indonesian with a simple message: change the air cap, not the gun.

Sagola would like to thank the Elcometer (Asia) team for their work at this first edition, bringing the range closer to refinishing professionals in South-East Asia.

Sagola in high-end finishing for the sports and leisure marine sector: two training days with the IMRON MARINE range (Axalta)

On 15 and 16 September, at the paint manufacturer's request, Sagola supported the technicians specialising in the IMRON MARINE range at the manufacturer's training centre in Madrid, working to get the most out of the main spray finishing equipment commonly used in this sector, which is geared mainly to the finishing of sports and leisure craft and luxury yachts.

The sessions brought together 26 professional painters from the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community and Andalusia, through the distributors Riera H and Perchán.

Equipment set-up, the core of both days

Most of the training was devoted to setting up the pressure equipment, combining the 10-litre Sagola 6110 Inox pressure pot — stainless steel and ATEX certified — with the pressure-feed version of the Sagola X4100, seeking the balance between a flawless finish and optimum paint consumption while maintaining high productivity. The right combinations were used for each stage of the process, 1.00 mm fluid tips (clearcoats and high-gloss finishes) and 1.20 mm (primers, wet-on-wet), together with the 777 and 765 air caps for maximum performance and application speed, with constant emphasis on how to achieve optimum pressure and flow settings.

The Sagola 4600 DFT and 4600 HEX for detail work

Alongside the pressure equipment, the Sagola 4600 DFT was used for basecoat blends and the Sagola 4600 HEX for repainting and for blending in clearcoat patches.

Both use air caps with DFT technology, which draws on ambient air to achieve the same atomisation at a lower working pressure. Hence lower paint consumption, less overspray and a more stable fan pattern.

Working alongside paint manufacturers

Sagola would like to thank Ricardo Gayoso, the manufacturer's Training Manager, and Eusebio Rivero, Technical Manager, for involving the company in this training and for running the sessions jointly.

The success of these sessions means that Sagola will continue to take part in further training activities for this sector, due to take place during October.

With actions such as this one, Sagola continues to work alongside paint manufacturers, bringing its equipment and its application know-how to the professionals who use it every day.

Pinturas Carman, Cañizares Piñero and La Tienda del Pintor visit Sagola's factory

Sagola's factory in Vitoria-Gasteiz continues to welcome specialist distributors and body shops. In recent months, three of its distributors in Spain have visited.

Pinturas Carman, with an eye on SpainSkills

On 2 July, Carlos Olías, of Pinturas Carman, a Sagola distributor and SpainSkills sponsor, and Pedro Urda, SpainSkills coordinator, visited Sagola. They met José Luis Cordero, Sagola's Market Director for Spain and Portugal, to coordinate the upcoming editions of the Skills competitions.

Cañizares Piñero and its body shops

On 7 September, Cañizares Piñero arrived together with six representative body shops from its area: Talleres Rubán (Cáceres), Talleres Méndez (Jaraíz de la Vera), Jamega – Servicio Ford (Talavera de la Reina), Talauto VI (Cazalegas), Motor Plasencia (Plasencia) and Talleres Notario (Villa del Prado). They toured the factory and saw where the spray guns they use every day are made.

La Tienda del Pintor, with its whole sales team

On 17 and 18 September, after decades of working together, La Tienda del Pintor (Valladolid) visited the factory for the first time with its whole sales team: Juan Martín del Río, owner; Juan Manuel Garrosa Velayos, Sales Director; and Luis Ángel Hernández González and Javier Alonso Falagán. It was two days of training to get to know Sagola's production processes and its range: the three spray systems, the 4600 HEX and DFT, 3600 XPT, 3300 GTO, Compact 3400 and Altair spray guns, compressed air treatment with the Pack 6000, and Elcometer measuring equipment.

Sagola would like to thank them all for their visit.

Sagola at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, with its full refinishing range

Sagola took part in Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, held from 8 to 12 September at Messe Frankfurt (Germany). On stand F49 in hall 11.1, the brand displayed its full refinishing range on six podiums, with the spray guns within reach rather than behind glass.

Over the five days, the Sagola team welcomed painters, distributors and refinishing professionals, who were able to pick up the guns, compare them and talk through their questions with the team.

The two new launches of 2026, centre stage

The spotlight was on the Sagola 4600 HEX, the high-end spray gun with Hex System™ and DFT™ technology, especially suited to clearcoat application, and on the Sagola 3600 XPT, designed for greater control and efficiency with lower material consumption. The rest of the refinishing range was also on the podiums, including the 4600, the 3400 Compact and the 3300 GTO.

SagolaSPRAY™: painting without paint

The other big attraction was SagolaSPRAY™, Sagola's virtual-reality painting simulator, which ran throughout the show: with the headset on and the gun in hand, visitors paint and see the result instantly, without using any material.

Sagola would like to thank everyone who visited the stand for their time and interest.

Sagola returns to The Fantasy World of Airbrush with the Sagola XTech range

Sagola returned to The Fantasy World of Airbrush, the European airbrush show held on 29 and 30 August in Grefrath (Germany). The event brought together more than 70 international artists working live in disciplines such as figurative art, custom painting, pinstriping, digital art and body art.

Sagola would like to thank everyone who stopped by the stand, and the organisers for another edition. With events like this, Sagola continues its commitment to the airbrush and custom painting community.
